Shoreland Veterinary Center
4940 Suder Ave
Toledo, Ohio 43611
With the dream of operating his own veterinary hospital, Dr. David Thornton chose Point Place as the place to make his dreams happen. After careful review of the small town he was sure that he could bring quality veterinary care to this area.
In 1983 Shoreland Veterinary Center was started on Shoreland Ave. where after 10 years of building a strong relationship with his clients and patients it was time to build a new facility. The new facility was renamed Shoreland Animal Hospital, Inc. in order to reflect the new design of the facility.
"The new office is a reflection of convenience, practicality and comfort for clients, patients and staff," states Dr. Thornton. "We are proud to offer an in house laboratory, surgical suite with a viewing window, isolation ward, recovery ward, three examination rooms and a spacious treatment center with pharmacy."
Dr. Thornton and his associate, Dr. Thomas Hartman, who joined the hospital in 1993, extend a variety of services to their patients ranging from general health care to dental treatments, radiography, EKGs and orthopedic surgery.
In addition to the three associate doctors on staff, Dr. Thornton employees 10 other staff members. "I believe that a well educated, well trained, and patient-oriented staff is the backbone behind our caring attitude."
There are 2 receptionists, 1 office manager, 2 registered/licensed technicians, 3 assistant technicians, 1 kennel technician and 1 hospital manager.
