Blush Aesthetics, a leader in medical aesthetics and skin health, is proud to announce the launch of its inaugural "Spread the SPF" Sunscreen Collection Drive. Running throughout the month of May in observance of Skin Cancer Awareness Month, the initiative aims to provide essential sun protection to community members visiting local city pools this summer.

Starting today, community members are invited to drop off new, unopened, lotion based broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) at Blush Aesthetics in Perrysburg. At the end of the month, the total collection will be distributed to area public pools to be made available for free to any swimmer or sunbather in need of protection.

"In the aesthetics world, we spend a lot of time reversing sun damage—but the best treatment is always prevention," says Erin Hennessey, Blush Owner. "We want to make sure that a fun day at the pool doesn't result in a lifetime of skin concerns. By providing free SPF to the community, we’re removing the barrier between fun in the sun and sun safety"

As one of the first med-spas in the NW Ohio area, Blush has been treating skin concerns with medical grade technology since 2016. There is significant new evidence that shows that the laser skin treatments offered by Blush, not only improve the appearance of sun damage but also can reduce the occurrence of skin cancer.

“Our aesthetics technology now allows us to reverse the appearance of sun spots and fine lines caused by the sun but it’s still so important for your first line of defense to be proper sunscreen usage and protection.”
