The tradition of Rally by the River continues as a primetime event in downtown Toledo. This summer music series kicks off a busy summer event season for Toledo. Rallies offer a great location to mingle with friends, listen to cool music and enjoy the best view in Toledo – the downtown Riverfront. The Friday night downtown staple will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. A $5.00 admission fee will be charged at the gate ($8.00 for the July 20th Rally). Proceeds from the rally season will benefit the Black Swamp Blues Society, and the Wood County Humane Society. Join us for THE largest, one-day FREE event along the Maumee River. This is the Independence Day celebration not to be missed. Over 50,000 people line both sides of the Maumee River for this spectacular July 4th celebration that will light-up the sky and the eyes of spectators. The electrifying sounds of The Pharm Lights the Night Fireworks Presented by Pepsi will be broadcast on a local radio station. The Pharm Lights the Night and FamilyFest has the largest attendance of any one-day event in downtown Toledo, and this year benefits the Toledo Zoo.

The second annual, Columbia Gas Ribs on the River, will again spice up downtown Toledo this year. This event was a huge success last year, and will surely be a highlight in the already busy event season in Promenade Park. Columbia Gas Ribs on the River will feature over 18 local, regional and national rib vendors. New this year, Piggy’s Playland Family Area featuring creative crafts, miniature golf, and other fun rides the kids are sure to enjoy. Event times are 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $3.00 after 5:00 p.m. on Friday and $3.00 all day on Saturday & Sunday. Pre-event tickets are available at the CitiFest box office. Proceeds from Columbia Gas Ribs on the River will benefit the American Red Cross.

Celebrate CitiFest’s 20TH birthday during the annual RiverFest celebration. CitiFest closes the summer season with a bang as RiverFest and Pandemonium VIII Fireworks present the summer’s grand finale. The Labor Day tradition continues to rock the riverfront with electrifying music and explosive illuminations in the sky. Pandemonium VIII Fireworks, one of the largest and loudest Labor Day fireworks shows in Northwest Ohio, will take to the skies shortly after the sun goes down. The fireworks soundtrack will be broadcast live on a local radio station. With the best in national entertainment, food vendors, and fireworks, RiverFest is a high-charged ending to the summer for the entire family, benefiting the Toledo Zoo.

The second annual Halloween at the Market Party promises to be the hottest Halloween party in Toledo. Come dressed as your favorite character or not, but be sure to get ready for some fun. This is the party you will not want to miss. But beware, the Erie Street Market ghosts will be looming. Halloween at the Market runs 7:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. with an entry fee of $10.00. Don your favorite costume and receive two dollars off the cover. Prizes will be awarded for the best costume. Proceeds to benefit the Toledo Zoo.
20th Annual Downtown Toledo Holiday Parade

The spirit of the holidays come alive each November as The Downtown Toledo Holiday Parade takes to the streets of downtown Toledo. 30,00 – 40,000 parade attendees will line the downtown streets to watch as zany clowns, magical floats, marching bands, giant helium balloons and elegant equestrian units transform the parade route into a winter wonderland. 2007 marks the 20th running of this annual Yuletide celebration, which traditionally rings in the holiday season. This community event has warmed hearts and generated smiles from thousands of children and adults throughout the years. Each year, a special early visit from Santa Claus delights the crowd and kicks-off the holiday season. The Downtown Toledo Holiday Parade is the largest holiday parade in Northwest Ohio.
