Erie Street Market
A totally unique shopping experience awaits visitors to the Erie Street Market in downtown Toledo, Ohio.
Housed in the old Civic Auditorium in the heart of the historic warehouse district, the Erie Street Market has more than 30 specialty merchants offering visitors everything from garden art and hand-made candles to fresh meats, cheeses, wines and other gourmet treats.
There are also several restaurants within the market to please just about every taste. Messina’s Italian Deli specializes in the finest Italian imports and Mr. Bigstuff’s Plantation Barbeque prides itself in its “melt-in-your mouth” ribs and chicken. The Erie Street Coffee Mill and Café teases customers with delicious aromas and wonderful soups and sandwiches, while T. J.’s Café features delicious soups, Sloppy Joes, wraps and pitas.
Outside the Erie Street Market is the Toledo Farmers’ Market, an outdoor shopping tradition that has been servicing customers for more than 150 years. Open from April through October on Wednesdays and Saturdays, shoppers can choose from the area’s freshest vegetables, fruits, flowers, and more.
Located right next door is the Libbey Glass Factory Outlet, which sells many of Toledo’s famous Libbey Glass Factory’s products at reduced prices and the Superior Antique Mall, with more than 80 vendors, for those customers interested in the finest antiques.
